Electria is an applied electronics research and development unit in Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. The focus of the competence is in ultra-low powered wireless electronics, ultra-low power wireless technologies and electronic prototyping. Electria strives to concretize the top research results of embedded information technology to serve the practical needs of business.

Research and development activities are run by experienced professionals. Electria offers wide equipment and development facilities for electronic design and prototyping.

Electria co-operates closely with the different education programs of the Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and prepares future talents to the industrial world.

Electria’s activities started in 2004 and the facilities are located near Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Electria is actively involved in the Vantaa Business Lab network as a part-realizer and R&D partner and the activities are strongly networked with domestic and international players.
